There is no such thing as a “hypnotized feeling” but you will feel very mentally and physically relaxed. You make feel heavy or light, everyone will have a deferent experience as I only guild you into a relaxed state. Any experience you may have comes from you own mind. It is most common for the client to only feel very relaxed.
Will I know what is happening when I am hypnotised?
Yes. You will be fully aware of everything that is happening at all times. You will hear everything that is said and know everything that is going on around you. You will not lose conciseness.
Could I be made to do anything against my will or nature?
No. You would not do or say anything which conflicts with your personal moral code or beliefs. In fact you will be able to stop at anytime you choose. Hypnosis can help you to do things you want to do but not make you do things you don’t want to.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Generally, yes it does require the ability to concentrate the mind for a few minutes. Very young children, people under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or people with certain mental conditions may not have the concentration required. It is very unlikely that someone who knows they need help and then be able to seek it would not have the concentration needed.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the individual and the problem we are dealing with. I never give an estimate on how many sessions it will take as this would only programme the client for that number of sessions therefore taking away the possibility that very few sessions would be needed, possibly just one session. I suggest clients should monitor their selves and I would suggest to anybody that if they are not showing some signs of improvement after two or three sessions they should either look at a different type of therapy or a different therapist.
Can I bring someone along with me?
Yes. I have no objections to bringing someone along at all times including initial consultation, counselling and hypnotherapy. In fact, for some people it can be a benefit for them to have someone with them so they can feel more relaxed and comfortable.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. You are welcome to come along for a cup of coffee and a chat, so you can talk about your problem and ask me any questions you may have. This gives you a chance to see if you feel comfortable to come back for another session at sometime. This is a free, non-obligation session.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Yes, all sessions are totally confidential. It is important that you can talk about whatever you want to and say whatever you like knowing that you can just walk away and it will not affect your life at all. Whatever you say stays within those four walls and is like stepping into a separate world for an hour or so.
